The grade SS 316 / L / H are the austenitic stainless steel grades that are non-magnetic. These grades contain a moderate amount of molybdenum alongside Nickel and Chromium in it, which shows a significant impact on the properties of Pipes. SS 316L and SS 316H are the modification of grade SS 316.
The Pipes made of SS 316L has better sensitization resisting capacity while welding, which is the result of low carbon content in this grade. On the other hand, Pipes made of SS 316H material are best to use in applications where high strength is required as the higher carbon content increase its strength at higher temperatures.
