Stainless Steel 304 / 304L / 304H grade is excellently resistant to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. It also offers high resistance to oxidation and many corrosive media and atmosphere. Along with these properties, this grade has low thermal and electrical conductivity, and it is non-magnetic. So, the Pipes made using this grade carry all these properties. The low carbon version and high carbon version of grade SS 304 are known as SS 304L and SS 304H, respectively. These grades are the modification of grade SS 304 that has its benefits like the Pipes made of low carbon version i.e.; SS 304L are resistant to sensitization during welding. Similarly, grade SS 304H contributes to the strength of the Pipes at higher temperatures.
