When compared to 2205 grade duplex steel, 904L has similar to corrosion resistant properties but lower mechanical strength. 2205 is also a lower cost choice compared to 904L but is not suitable for temperatures above 300 degrees C. The Super Duplex Pipes & Tubes have a melting range of up to 1350 degrees C and elongation of 15 % min. These pipes & tubes have a tensile strength of 800 MPa and yield strength of 550 MPa.
